Japenese reports suggest a release date for the long-awaited return of Final Fantasy...
Breaking the news deadlock and denouncing fears that Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle was facing insurmountable problems; Japanese reports today confirmed a Japanese release date for the hugely anticipated return of Final Fantasy.
July 18th (not May) will see the release of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle and promptly cause a huge surge in GameCube sales, as queues of gamers line the streets of Akihibara. Although neither Nintendo nor Square have made an official comment, weâre expecting this to follow in the next few days.
Unfortunately it looks as though Nintendoâs hopeful European ad campaign, which suggested that Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles was âcoming soonâ last autumn, may have been a tad speculative. Although Square arenât working directly on the title, if theyâve got any say on the localisation and PAL conversions, we probably wonât see this game in Europe until late 2004; hopefully Nintendo will realise the importance of the title and take it on themselvesâ¦
