The story begins as an unidentified paramilitary force infiltrates a multi-billion dollar aerospace compound, taking hostages but issuing no demands. The government responds by sending in special forces, but loses contact as an eerie signal interrupts radio communications. When the interference subsides moments later, the team has been obliterated. Live footage of the massacre shows an inexplicable wave of destruction tearing the soldiers apart before they can even react.

Sierra Entertainment confirms that the single-file multiplayer pack will be arriving on British shores shortly...


Sierra Entertainment has today confirmed an August 17th release for F.E.A.R. Combat, a single-file download that includes all of the patches, maps, and multiplayer modes for the PC FPS title.

In total, the pack contains ten multiplayer modes, nineteen multiplayer maps, twelve weapons, the ability to download user-generated content, and Punkbuster anti-cheat technology.

The full list of multiplayer modes are:

  • Deathmatch

  • Slowmo Deathmatch

  • Slowmo Team Deathmatch

  • Elimination

  • Team Elimination

  • Capture the Flag

  • Slowmo Capture the Flag

  • Conquer All

  • Control


Gamers must register at www.joinfear.com to obtain their Combat key, before downloading the pack from August 17th.
