The story begins as an unidentified paramilitary force infiltrates a multi-billion dollar aerospace compound, taking hostages but issuing no demands. The government responds by sending in special forces, but loses contact as an eerie signal interrupts radio communications. When the interference subsides moments later, the team has been obliterated. Live footage of the massacre shows an inexplicable wave of destruction tearing the soldiers apart before they can even react.

VU and Monolith release SDK and announce further plans for F.E.A.R...


Vivendi-Universal today announced the release of the F.E.A.R SDK, providing gamers with the tools to create their own custom content for both the single and multiplayer modes.

The publisher also confirmed a deal to incorporate Punkbusterâs Anti-Cheat software as part of the âongoing efforts to improve the in-game experienceâ, with additional multiplayer maps, game types and a âvotekickâ option being made available in 2006.

Whether or not the planned updates include bolstering everybodyâs memory to allow the game to play fluidly is currently as yet undisclosed, however weâll have further information on them soon.
