F-Zero - Breathtaking New Screens News

Chris Leyton

It looks like Nintendo’s policy of farming out to third-party developers is beginning to pay dividends as these fantastic new screens show.

During the recent Tokyo CG Festival, Toshihiro Nagoshi â“ president Amusement Vision â“ took the stage to give the assembled press a fleeting glance of how F-Zero is shaping up on the GameCube.

The new F-Zero will make use of the Tri-Force arcade board, and is rumoured to feature network play that will allow GameCube owners to race against those in the arcades.

The latest screens released from the team certainly show that the game is in the right hands. The same bright and vibrant look has been maintained, although a grittier, dirtier and more realistic style has been added. Thankfully the game still runs at the trademark breakneck speeds, Nagoshi assured the press that 60FPS would be maintained at all times. It seems as though the team are bonding well with Nintendo, can you spot ROB in one of the screens???

Weâll have more on F-Zero very soonâ¦
