SCEE celebrate the success of everybody's favourite PS2 peripheral...
SCEE today announced that sales of the EyeToy: Play have passed the 1 million mark in less then four months since its European release.
The peripheral which places you within the game has become the phenomenon of the summer and spent most of the time at the top of the All Formats chart; itâs success has seen SCEi rush forward its release in Japan and America, where similar success is predicted for the European developed peripheral and videogame.
This November sees the European launch of âEyeToy: Grooveâ, a new title that makes use of the peripheral that challenges players to get down and groove along with 25 licensed songs.
It certainly looks as if thereâs nothing to stop EyeToyâs march for global success, with future titles planned and even third-party support this is one peripheral thatâs going to stick the distance.
