2K Games finally reveals all on the Survivor Mode...it's a 'very hard difficulty' mode...

The belated PlayStation 3 version of Bioshock has finally revealed its cards on the exclusive 'Survivor Mode', which forms part of a raft of improvements ahead of an Autumn release.

But it's not quite perhaps what was PS3 gamers expected.

2K Games has announced that the mode is actually a "...highly challenging difficulty mode... [where players] are more vulnerable, enemies are tougher, [and] every resource is more precious."

The publisher hopes that the constraints will put a greater emphasis on creative gameplay, with players constantly having to fight in a challenge to survive: "From the first fight in the 'Welcome to Rapture' level onward, I don't think anyone will have trouble distinguishing this from hard mode!"
