A prophetic victory as an Englishman wins the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2005 competition...
Sure to be seen as a sign by some of the English population, Chris Bullard of Ipswich has been announced FIFA Interactive World Player 2005 after winning the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2005. Bullard attended the FIFA World Player Gala in Zurich, Switzerland last night as part of an all expenses trip courtesy of FIFA and Electronic Arts.
Winning the annual competition following a 5-2 win over fellow finalist Hungarian Gabor Mokos, Bullard (who played as England) had Frank Lampard sent off early in the game but thanks to a hat-trick from Wayne Rooney, went on to win.
An ecstatic Bullard enthused, "The whole tournament was simply brilliant. It means so much to me that I was able to win this tournament for my country. This is simply a dream come true and easily the best moment of my life. I did not think I could win after my favourite player Frank Lampard was sent off in the 24th minute. Now I can represent England on stage with the big stars and maybe even stand next to my idol Frank Lampard."
