Konami's first Wii title receives a name change ahead of its spring release...
The game formerly known as "Elebits" and "Konami's First Wii Title" today received a finalised title, now appearing under the slightly less catchy moniker of "Eledees". A hint at the electricity theme running through the game and an unmistakable pun, Eledees challenges players to utilise the Wii remote as a Capture Gun, tearing apart the environment in the search for the titular creatures.
Mischievous and mysterious creatures, Eledees have been the only source of energy for more than 10,000 years on a planet without electricity, gas or nuclear power and have become essential to the future growth of mankind. A recent lightning storm, however, has caused the creatures to act strangely, abandoning their duties and quickly searching for places to hide. Assuming the role of Kai, it's the player's task to find out what has happened and restore the Eledees to their friendly state.
Eledees will be one of the first Wii titles to fully support WiiConnect24, allowing players to trade stages that they have created themselves via the 'Edit Mode'. The game also features a 'Multiplayer Mode' for up to four players, although this is restricted to offline play.
