Eidos confirm that it is currently in preliminary discussions with a small number of interested parties…
Following on from the announcement on June 17th 2004 that Eidos would be performing a strategic review, which prompted mass speculation regarding a possible take-over; Eidos today announced that whilst it continues to keep all options under review, it is in preliminary discussions with a small number of parties in relation to possible business combinations.
Itâs claimed that the discussions are at a preliminary stage and as such there can be no certainty as to whether or not they will lead to an offer being made for Eidos; whilst the Board confirmed that it doesnât expect to be in a position to make further announcements ahead of the companyâs full year results.
