UK publisher announces that a retail edition of Tomb Raider: Anniversary will accompany the downloadable version...

Eidos has today confirmed that Tomb Raider: Anniversary on Xbox 360 will be released to retail on October 26th, to be followed with the launch of the title as two-part Xbox Live Marketplace downloads in November. Eidos is yet to set a price for both the retail and downloadable editions of the game in Europe.

"Anniversary has already been a great success on PS2 and PC Games for Windows and now 360 owners will get the choice of either owning a boxed copy or downloading the game straight to their 360 hard drive." said Kathryn Clements, Senior Brand Manager for Tomb Raider.

A re-imagining of the 1996 original courtesy of Crystal Dynamics, Tomb Raider: Anniversary hit PlayStation 2 earlier this year, with additional versions on both Wii and PSP set to arrive at the end of October too.
