GEON: emotions to be UK publisher's debut on Live Arcade...
Eidos have today announced the development of their first XBLA game GEON: emotions, scheduled for release later this summer. This news comes just weeks after Eidos revealed that Tomb Raider: Anniversary (originally on the PS2) will be released over Xbox Live Marketplace in September.
This bizarre game from the developers at Strawdog Studios will feature psychedelic gameplay where gamers must take on the role of an emotion - including fear and courage - while racing around collecting pellets and scoring goals. The emotion in play has specific strengths and weaknesses which dynamically affect gameplay (your guess is as good as ours).
"GEON: emotions is our first title for Xbox Live Arcade and we're really proud of it," said Simon Protheroe, New Media and IT Director at Eidos. "It's the perfect mix of fun, action and head-to-head competition which works so well on Live Arcade."
GEON: emotions will feature three single player modes (duel, time attack and mini-games), three multiplayer modes which will be playable with up to three others (duel, team Geon and last man standing), with each game taking place in one of a wide variety of arenas.
