Early '08 For PAL Dragon Quest Monster: Joker News

Square-Enix confirms that the Dragon Quest spin-off will be heading to Europe in the New Year...

Square-Enix has today confirmed that Dragon Quest Monster: Joker will be arriving across PAL territories in early 2008, exclusively for Nintendo DS.

The game, which sees layers travel to the land of Green Bays and participate in a great monster challenge with over 200 different types of creatures, was first released in Japan at the end of 2006, with a North American launch due next month. Joker represents the first time that the Dragon Quest spin-off will arrive in Europe.

John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd. comments, "After the great success of DRAGON QUEST since we introduced the series to Europe, I am extremely happy that we are now giving fans a chance to enjoy DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: Joker on the Nintendo DS. This is another stylish entry in the DRAGON QUEST series that will bring many hours of enjoyment to anybody that plays it."

Dragon Quest IX is also due to hit Nintendo DS exclusively in 2008, in Japan at least.
