EA Unveils SSX Blur For Wii News

The snowboarding franchise is confirmed to be heading for Europe and North America in March 2007...


Electronic Arts has confirmed "SSX Blur" as the previously announced SSX instalment for Wii. The title, currently in development at EA Montreal, will be published under the EA Sports BIG brand across North America and Europe in March 2007.

"We wanted to take the soul of the franchise-the air, the speed, the tricks, the fun-and Wii-ify it," said Alex Hyder, producer on the product. "You're going to see that reflected in the On-the-Ground & In-the-Air controls, the characters, the user interface, and every other aspect of this game."

News of the title comes just days after EA acquired Headgate Studios as a Wii-specific studio, re-branding it EA Salt Lake in the process.
