EA Sports brings FIFA, NBA and Madden to the masses with Family Play for Wii...

Highlighting the unique approach it's adopting for Wii, EA today revealed details on the EA Sports Family Play techniques that are set to feature in NFL 08, NBA Live 08 and FIFA 08 for Nintendo's mass-market home console.

Promoting accessible play that caters for players of all abilities, the Family Play provides a simplified setup that utilises the Wii Remote exclusively to pass, shoot, snap and throw whilst the Wii handles the rest. Each of the three titles will also offer advanced controls for more experienced players, taking advantage of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to control all aspects of the gameplay through intuitive gesture commands.

"EA SPORTS Family Play on the Wii creates an incredibly accessible and user-friendly experience that the whole family will enjoy," said Dave McCarthy, Executive Producer for the three games developed at EA Canada. "While many fans love to control every piece of the action, novice players can have just as much fun jumping in to throw a touchdown pass, nail a three pointer or take a shot on goal. Family Play brings together fans of all ages to enjoy playing EA SPORTS games, and even let's them ease in to Advanced play if they desire."

All three titles will support Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, providing online support with the inclusion of Interactive Leagues in FIFA 08 along with head-to-head matches in Madden and NBA.
