Electronic Arts' new international headquarters opens in the Swiss city; previous HQ in Chertsey to remain open...
Electronic Arts has today confirmed the opening of their new International Headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland. Employing ninety personnel at the new office, which replaces the former HQ in Chertsey, UK, EA's operations will cover marketing across Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Africa.
Speaking to Reuters, European spokeswoman Tiffany Steckler said, "When Electronic Arts started its European business in the early 1990s, the natural choice was to go to Britain for language reasons. As the company has grown, it makes sense to be closer to the heart of Europe and be at a more neutral location."
EA's Chertsey offices will remain open as a studio.
