EA releases the first information on the sequel to a true cultural phenomenon...
EA has finally released the first details on the hugely anticipated âThe Sims 2â, sequel to the best-selling and social phenomenon title created by Will Wright.
The major introduction is the use of D.N.A for all of the characters within the game, which allows characters to pass down their genetics through the generations.
Players are now given a âLife Scoreâ to measure how well they are taking each individual Sim through âLifeâs Big Momentsâ, whilst these will now have a greater impact on their long-term success or failure. EA claims that a choice made as a toddler will have a direct effect on the teen and adult Sim that they become.
The Sims 2 has been built on an entirely new 3D engine, which is set to bring some much-needed invigoration to the stale look of the series. EA are promising that players will be able to totally customise their Sims via the all-new âCreate-A-Simâ mode, whilst players will also be able to build buildings over the previous limit of two storeys.
