Electronic Arts confirms to TVG that Pandemic's follow-up will miss its 2007 release...


Electronic Arts has today announced that Mercenaries 2: World in Flames will be launched during 2008, missing a planned '2007' release stated in a E3 2006 fact sheet from developers, Pandemic Studios.

In a statement to TVG, a UK representative at EA confirmed that whilst an exact date hadn't been finalised, "[we] can confirm it will be next year." The Christmas season is already looking congested, so perhaps it was inevitable that even some of the high-profile titles (like Mercs 2) would be pushed back to 2008.

Set in the heart of Venezuela, Mercs 2 will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and PC.

Newsflash it ain't that hot after all, it's not bad, but considering the power of the humble PS3 if the truth be told, it's just upscaled PS2 graphics, and Mercenaries but in Venuzela and not Korea this time round.

So the question asked a million times all over the web with every different answer is:
Is there a 2 player off-line coop mode!
The people at Gamestop said there definitely was so we bought it and cannot see a way to play 2 player coop on one consol... [ Read full comment... ]
