EA announce agreement with NAMCO to bring R: Racing to Europe…
Having brought âSoul Calibur 2â to Europe, EA and NAMCO today announced an agreement to publish âR: Racingâ on the Xbox and GameCube in PAL territories.
From the creators of the popular Ridge Racer series, âR: Racingâ changes the concept slightly focussing on a more realistic experience akin to the âGran Turismoâ series. Featuring authentic licensed cars and real-world tracks; the game merges realistic physics with a storyline in a manner similar to Codemasters âTOCA Race Driverâ.
Exciting features such as the Interactive Driver AI System and in-game radio communications bring players closer to racing action than ever before! In Racing Life mode, two tough racers, Rena Hayami and Gina Cavalli play out their fierce rivalry in a series of breathless races. Their fast-paced story heats up, as other determined competitors appear to challenge their track supremacy. In R: Racing, you will drive more than 35 real-world vehicles that allow for upgrades and modifications, in 14 tracks from real-world and fictitious locations.
âR: Racingâ is scheduled for a European release in March 2004 and will be fully localised into English, French, German, Spanish and Italian; weâll have more information soon.
