EA secure exclusive rights to the videogame adaptations of the upcoming movies.
Electronic Arts today announced that they have secured the exclusive rights to produce videogames based on the upcoming Lord of the Rings trilogy of movies.
The agreement with New Line Cinema grants EA the exclusive rights to publisha games on all next-gen and handheld systems. The first game will be based upon The Fellowship of the Ring, and will be released in Autumn 2002 alongside the second movie, The Two Towers.
The remaining games and which platforms are set to be decided at a later date.
