Ultima X: Odyssey becomes the latest casualty of the much-maligned MMORPG genre…
In an update to the official Ultima X: Odyssey, EA today confirmed the cancellation of the ambitious MMORPG.
No official reason was cited for the decision, however thereās no denying that it sends out yet another worrying picture regarding the fantasy-themed MMORPG genre, after the recent decision to cancel Warhammer Online from Games Workshop and Climax.
Itās believed that no job losses were incurred at Origin Systems, and that development is well underway on a new expansion pack to Ultima Online, along with a new project.
