Defend the Zubos of Zubalon from evil Zombos in Zubo, the latest rhythm action game to be unveiled for the DS...
EA has announced Zubo, a rhythm action game for Nintendo's DS handheld console. Gamers will be tasked with befriending friendly Zubos and defending the planet of Zubalon by tapping along in time and synchronising their DS stylus to the game's rhythm action gameplay.
After an evil force attacks the planet of Zubalon, it's up to you to defend the friendly Zubos from all manner of nastiness. Zubalon society is based around music, with tuneful plants and a musical note based currency. It's only logical, then, that you'll be using the power of music to banish the nasty Zombos from the planet.
"Zubo represents the culmination of a dedicated incubation project, which specifically sought to develop a new videogame property for boys and girls under 12," said Harvey Elliott, Head of the EA Bright Light studio in Guildford, UK. "The team here has designed a rich, immersive and, above all, enjoyable experience - one that will live in the schoolyard, at home or on the move."
Befriending these Zubos and recruiting them to your squad will also be a key feature in the game. There are 55 of them that you can feed and nurture, upping their skills and strength to battle the Zombos amassing upon Zubalon with a bit of rhythm action.
