EA lifts the lid on an intriguing next-generation RPG currently in development...
A mysterious web site has appeared over the weekend, championing a new next-generation RPG in development at EA's Redwood Shores Studio for the last year.
Dubbed the slightly bewildering provisional name of Project Gray Company, the goal behind the game is to offer an experience that allows the player to be the hero in an expansive open world setting - much like many RPGs of the time then. Hoping to provide a world rich in activities and options for the player, so each player's experience is unique and crafted to their style, it will certainly be interesting to see exactly who is behind the game and whether EA can create something as worthy as the likes of Bethesda's Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Of the scant details we know so far, it's claimed that the AI behind characters within the game is driven by the same technology used by the creators of The Sims 2, whilst taking a similar approach to many other RPGs when it comes to story, main quests and the ability to stray away and create your own adventure.
Look out for further information from E3, but until then fulfil your desire for further information by checking out the first video developer diary.
