EA adopt a new strategy for the F1 franchise; can you rise from the ranks of a rookie over four seasons?
EA today confirmed that they intend to change the release of all games bearing the F1 tag, with the development of F1 Career Challenge, currently in development for the GameCube, Playstation2 and Xbox.
Officially endorsed by the Formula One Administration, the game positions players as a rookie in the 1999 season; through a range of super license tests, itās up to you to show your worth over four full racing seasons.
EA claim that the gameplay has been overhauled to produce āthe most immersive and realistic F1 racing experience to dateā, citing that the AI will realistically portray the various driving styles of their real-life counterparts and an improved pit section where all the key decisions are made.
F1 Career Challenge is scheduled for release in April; weāll have more soon, but make sure to check out the first screens taken from the PS2 version.
