Dyack: Strong Chance Of Eternal Darkness Return News

By Jon Wilcox on 13/05/2008 Silicon Knights boss confirms at Microsoft's Spring Showcase that a return to the one-off survival horror brand may be on the cards...

Speaking at Microsoft's Spring Showcase in San Francisco, Silicon Knights' Denis Dyack has today confirmed to TVG that a return to the Eternal Darkness brand could be on the cards.

Although focusing on the late August release of Too Human, Dyack spoke passionately on Silicon Knights' love of past games. Asked about a possible to Eternal Darkness, Dyack revealed:

"There is a chance; we love all the games we work on. We don't want to be pigeon-holed [into a genre], we want to be known for strong content...There's a strong chance we'll return to it, but there's no announcements yet."

The original title, Sanity's Requiem, launched on GameCube back in 2002, before the studio became a second-party developer of Microsoft Game Studios.

Just imagine what Silicon Knights could do with the Wii. Forget the Too Human trilogy, put it down to experience, and let's have a sequel to the best psychological horror going...
