DRAGON QUEST SWORDS: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors is an action-packed Virtual Experience where the player becomes the hero of the story. Dragon Quest Swords Heads To Wii In May News

PAL edition of Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors arriving on Wii in a couple of weeks...

Square Enix has today confirmed that the PAL edition of Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors on Wii will be launching across the PAL regions from May 9th.

The game, a spin-off franchise of the Dragon Quest series, has been built exclusively for Wii, and utilise the Wii-remote as a motion-controlled sword. The game follows a young man on his rites of passage along the so-called Walk of the Worthy, all in a first-person perspective. Dragon Quest Swords marks a new collaborative effort between Series creator Yuji Horii, legendary manga artist Akira Toriyama (last seen working with Hironobu Sakaguchi on Blue Dragon) and renowned composer Koichi Sugiyama.

John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd. comments, "We are excited to be bringing Dragon Quest Swords to PAL territories. The Dragon Quest series is an international hit having sold over 43 million units worldwide, but is still relatively new to Europe. We hope that Dragon Quest Swords will find a place in the hearts of everyone."

Dragon Quest Swords launched in Japan back in July 2007, where it sold over 300,000 units in its first week.
