DBZ: Goku Densetsu for the Nintendo DS is an all new DBZ experience unlike any other, combining strategic card-based gameplay and role playing elements to deliver a game that is easy to understand but hard to master. Playersï¿½ progression is determined through their use of the cards to evolve characters, strengthen moves and create new moves. Atari confirms that Dragon Ball Z: Goku Densetsu will be arriving in Europe during August...

Atari has today confirmed that Dragon Ball Z: Goku Densetsu will be released across Europe during August for Nintendo DS. The card-based RPG game is the second Dragon Ball title developed for the dual-screened handheld following 2006's Supersonic Warriors 2, and is described by Atari and publisher Namco Bandai Games Europe as "easy to understand, difficult to master".

Players are dealt a number of cards at the start of battle, each denoting a level for Power, Action, and Guard, with the characters' Special Moves building up through the course of the fight - describing the gameplay as the fighting equivalent of the PSP's Metal Gear Ac!d series.

Up to four players will be able to play via Wi-Fi functionality, and Goku Densetsu will also include Game Sharing elements.
