Despite finally getting off the ground, a reporter on the set suggests that this won’t be the Doom we all know and love...
An article featured on Dark Horizons, allegedly stemming from a reporter on the Prague set of the Doom movie, has today sent worrying details regarding the future direction of the movie.
Whilst the movie has been in the pipeline for years and the prospect of it finally emerging sounded almost too good to be true, it seems as though gamers wonât have a lot to shout about, as movie executives have decided against using storyline aspects passed down from the legendary gaming series.
Firstly it claims that the plot will have nothing to do with Hell being unleashed upon Mars, instead opting for a Sci-Fi storyline that follows eight space marines (which bear a closer resemblance to SWAT operatives) as they teleport into a secret Command Centre upon a remote planet. Soon they discover that all is not as it seems, as they come under attack from mutated beings that have been infected by a super-virus â“ although weâre informed that they do still resemble the monsters from the game.
