Activision are set to bring one of the most influential games ever to the little handheld.
Doom. Really that should suffice as the description for this game, but the powers that be dictate a little elaboration on that single word description. Being perhaps the single most important PC game in recent memory, or ever, if you feel that way, Doom had a huge impact when it was released.
Now thanks to David A. Palmer Productions - who incidentally are handling the GameBoy Color version of id's Commander Keen - will be bringing the seminal first person shooter to the GameBoy Advance. This has been rumoured for a while, but now Activision has confirmed it.
It seems that only the original levels in Doom will be present, now whilst this is all well and good many people have played these over and over, so it would perhaps be nice to have some new levels thrown in. Thankfully however there is a fully featured deathmatch mode with eight specific levels for two to four players. Also two players will be able to participate in a co-operative mode, which is always fun.
A release date is not known yet, but it seems like the game could make it out before the end of the year, we will keep you posted.
