Doom 3 Playable At Quakecon News

Some lucky people are going to be able to go hands on with a multi-player version of this hugely anticipated game…
From August 14th to 17th in Dallas, Texas attendees to the Quakecon show will be able to try a four player game of Doom 3 at the id Software / Activision booth. The teaser game will be played on one level developed by id and Splash Damage, the UK based team who are working on the multi-player stages for the title.
In a statement Todd Hollenshead, CEO of id Software said "What better way to celebrate QuakeCon than to unveil to our fans a preview of DOOM 3 multiplayer," a good point well put, and itās also near the id office, anyway, he went on to add; "While everyone knows that DOOM 3 is the most terrifying and scary single player experience ever created, multiplayer delivers the intense competitive action that our fans can count on. It's a natural to debut the DOOM 3 multiplayer experience at QuakeCon, the world's preeminent fan-based multiplayer gaming event."
Look forward to the Internet buzzing with reports when people check this out for themselves, whilst weāre not going out to Quakecon, sadly, weāll naturally keep you up to speed on what the word is on this one.
