The infamous egg returns to PCs this Christmas as an early gift from Codemasters…
One of the most loved characters from the computer games of the 1980s and early 1990s was a walking egg called Dizzy. Famed for his adventures on the Commodore 64 and Sinclair Spectrum, Dizzy disappeared off the radar by the time the 16-bit generation kicked in.
Those still longing for more Dizzy after a decade since his last appearance can today open one of their Christmas presents early, because UK publisher Codemasters has announced that the egg has returned this Christmas in the form of an emulated C64 version of Treasure Island Dizzy, seen by fans of the franchise as the pinnacle of the Eggâs career. The download can be obtained from Codemastersâ website and comes in the form of a self-contained emulator.
Does this gift mean that the walking egg will be return to our desktops/consoles in glorious 3D soon?
Weâll have more news shortlyâ¦
