Capcom confirms to TVG that Dragon Ball Z: Budokai developers are helping with Ryu's return...
Impressing everybody that's seen it with a striking return to the majesty of Street Fighter II, revelations that Capcom's Street Fighter IV is being co-developed by Dimps have recently come to light.
Of course such a surprise has caught SF fanatics a little off guard, amidst claims that for some reason this instantly signals the game's undoing. Renowned for their work on Dragon Ball Z and Sonic Rush titles, Capcom today confirmed to that Dimps are indeed assisting with the return of one of the most iconic videogame brands.
Speaking to TVG, a Capcom representative confirmed, "Dimps is helping Capcom deliver the finest Street Fighter experience possible. Street Fighter IV is a Capcom-produced game so expect the same high standard that you would expect from any other Capcom game. Ono-san is a Capcom producer and Akino-san, the art lead, is also part of the Capcom team."
It should be pointed out that Capcom have regularly used the assistance of external developers in creating many of their titles, Cavia, TOSE Software, and Klein Computer Entertainment being just a few examples responsible for titles that include Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chornicles, and Ultimate Ghouls 'n Ghosts.
We'd also like to point out that Dimps were also responsible for the pretty excellent Rumble Fish fighting games, so we don't have too many reservations about this bombshell.
