Deck Of Cards Returning In Mercs 2??? News

The Deck of Cards feature from the first Mercs game could return in the sequel after all...

Pandemic's satirical take on US foreign policy could return in Mercenaries 2, with the game's Senior Producer Jonathan Zamkoff suggesting that the Deck of Cards layout for high value targets is still on the table.

Pandemic had originally planned not to use the feature in Mercs 2, making that point clear in a TVG Q&A last September. However, Zamkoff revealed to us at a recent viewing of the game that there happens to be 52 high value targets in the game by pure chance.

Zamkoff told us that, as a result of this, the prospect of bringing the feature back for Mercs 2 is certainly something that he's discussed with other members of Pandemic's top brass.

In Mercs 1, the feature was a spoof of the deck of cards that denoted key figures in Saddam Hussein's regime when US forces first entered Iraq (with Saddam being the Ace of Spades).

Mercenaries 2 what a joke I've played ps1 games that haven't suck this hard. I mean come on this is beyond a worthless piece of crap playing it is like having a nail drilled in your head it is that painfull EA needs tgo get it's love together.

Meh. Did you guys miss the point of the game?

I seem to recall watching a dev video where the devs said they wanted this game to go in a decidedly more coop direction.

So, did you even attempt to play the coop mode?
