Ubisoft announce a new Xbox exclusive title, in this futuristic sports title akin to Speedball...
Ubisoft today revealed their Xbox exclusive title Death Row, currently being developed by Swedish outfit SouthEnd Interactive. The game is a futuristic sports title where anything goes, players take part in a team of four and must score as many points as possible, through scoring goals with a Frisbee shaped object to injuring the opposition. OK so itās a complete rip-off from the classic Speedball, but if they can deliver the goods then weāre eagerly awaiting this one.
Visually the game already looks very impressive even at this early stage, with high quality player models and such effects as reflective mapping on the floors.
As with Speedball, players must manage their team and pick their line-up from over 130 individual players each with their own skills and attributes, as you gain money and rise up the league youāll be bale to increase these.
The game will support up to eight players, whether this is via online play or link-up is as of yet undetermined. Other features include the ability to add your own songs to the playlist and hand-to-hand combat.
Specific details are still scarce, hopefully we can squeeze some out of Ubisoft soon, until then check out the first screens.
