Dead Rising follows the harrowing tale of Frank West, an overly zealous freelance photojournalist on the hunt for the scoop of a lifetime. In pursuit of a juicy lead, he makes his way to a small suburban town only to find that it has become overrun by zombies. He escapes to the local shopping mall, thinking it will be a bastion of safety yet it turns out to be anything but.

Capcom celebrate the success of Dead Rising in the UK as well...


It seems as though North America isn't the only country going zombie crazy for Capcom's Dead Rising, as the Japanese publisher today celebrated the title becoming the fastest selling Xbox 360 title in the UK.

Beating off stiff competition from Saint's Row and Test Drive Unlimited, Capcom notched up their first No.1 in more than five years with the zombie-fuelled fest.

"We're thrilled that Dead Rising has done the business," commented Claire Mercer UK and Export, Sales and Marketing Director, "Consumer anticipation has been astronomical along with excellent support from retail and press; the advertising campaign was also one of our most impactful yet"

"We're so pleased that Japanese developers like Capcom are creating such quality games for Xbox 360," commented Microsoft's UK regional Director, Neil Thompson, "And with Xbox 360 games taking the top 3 spots in the all formats chart this week it shows the growing strength of the platform in the UK and augers very well for the future."

DMC4 demo for xbox 360 was great and everyone should get the full game. However, it is let down due to no online play which is only minor. There are many games without online play whihc are loved by many such as: Assassins creed and mass effect. So i... [ Read full comment... ]
