Devil May Cry movie in the pipeline along with Tekken and Onimusha...
Capcom has confirmed plans to produce a movie based on the hit Playstation2 title ā“ Devil May Cry. The Japanese publisher has entered an agreement with GaGa Productions, who have set aside a budget of $40million and scheduled filming to begin sometime in 2005.
Specific details on the cast, plot and director have yet to be confirmed, however itās believed both companies want to ensure the movie remains close to the videogames ā“ easing fears of another Streetfighter debacle.
Devil May Cry isnāt the only videogame IP that GaGa Productions are working with, they also have signed the rights to Capcomās Onimusha franchise along with Namcoās Tekken; letās hope they can buck the trend of dismal movie translations.
