Microsoft throws another trendy party in the name of Xbox 360 for Origen/Hex 168 winners...
Continuing the âWeâre cool!â marketing which began with the MTV presentation of Xbox 360 in May, Microsoft have today lifted the lid on the secrets of the European Origen and North American Hex 168 competitions â“ itâs another âtrendyâ partyâ¦
Set United Statesâ Mojave Desert, the Gamers Paradise (codenamed Xbox 360: Zero Hour) will be a two-day party beginning on November 20th and ending at 00:01 on November 22nd, the launch day of Xbox 360 in North America. Winners will be given the full VIP treatment including flights to the event on private jets from Santa Monica airport.
"Xbox 360: Zero Hour" will also host thousands of other gamers from around the world including those who are invited to make the pilgrimage to the Mojave Desert and witness the dawning of the next generation of gaming.
"Xbox 360: Zero Hour" is expected to be a true gaming paradise with hundreds of Xbox 360 gaming stations featuring high-definition monitors and digital sound. All that attend will get the chance to play the full Xbox 360 launch line-up along with other highly anticipated games that will ship this year and into 2006 from 2K Games, 2K Sports, Activision, Bethesda, Capcom, Electronic Arts, Microsoft Game Studios, Namco, Sega, Square-Enix, Tecmo, THQ, and Ubisoft. Among other gaming highlights, attendees will be the first ever to play a 32-player match of "Perfect Dark Zero" over Xbox Live, have access to the full Xbox Live Arcade line-up and witness demonstrations and sneak peeks of hotly-anticipated non-titles including live game play of "Gears of War".
VIPs (winners of the two competitions) will also be receiving an exclusive Xbox 360 faceplate dedicated to the event, though Microsoft have also revealed that up to 3000 people will be able to attend the event by registering on a selection of Microsoft sites from November 20th though ticket holders will have to make their own way to the Mojave.
Whether the âWeâre cool, letâs through a party!â tactic will work for Microsoft (after all, many gamers were unhappy at the MTV presentation) will have to be seen; weâll have more on Xbox 360 in the coming weeksâ¦
