Gamers able to use any CD in Broadsword Interactive developed dance title in spring 2006...
Codemasters has today announced the development of Dance Factory exclusively on PlayStation 2. The game, which is currently pencilled in for a Spring 2006 release, looks set to introduce a unique feature to the Dance/Rhythm genre: the ability to use any CD in a gamerâs music library to dance to.
The ability looks set to form the next benchmark in the genre by freeing the player and allowing them to choose the music that they want to dance to. Nicky Hewitt, Director of Marketing at Codemasters commented, "This is an incredible development in social gaming and will give anyone the ability to choose the tracks they want to groove to on a dance mat. Rather then be limited by a built-in play list, the freedom Dance Factory offers enables it to span across all music tastes."
Hewitt added, "This freedom also means the game won't be dated by a forced play list - you can as easily play it with a classic disco track or the current number oneâ¦It's a great unique feature and just one of the many we've yet to reveal on this exciting project that is set to deliver the most accessible and fun dance mat game ever."
