Dr. Raymond Stanz announces that Universal has picked up the videogame rights...
Following the emergence (and subsequent disappearance) of Zootfly's prototype Ghostbusters videogame footage, former Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd has confirmed that he'll be reprising his role as Dr. Raymond Stanz in an upcoming game based on the movie franchise.
Speaking to Canadian newspaper Edmonton Sun, Aykroyd announced the news, confirming that: "Universal purchased the rights from Sony for a game. I'm actually going to have to perform and do some motion capture for them. That will be next year."
Universal Studios is currently owned by US television network NBC and Vivendi Group, owners of Vivendi Games, Sierra Entertainment, and World of Warcraft developers, Blizzard Entertainment.
News of a Ghostbusters videogame comes as Aykroyd announced plans to create an all-CGI Ghostbusters 3 movie - so perhaps the videogame will be an adaptation of the movie?
