DOA4 Misses Japan Launch News

The lack of Dead or Alive 4 leaves anaemic Japanese 360 line-up...
Microsoftâs newly found focus on Japan may have sounded impressive with the likes of Hironobu Sakaguchi and Tetsuya Mizuguchi all pledging support, however news that Dead or Alive 4 has suffered a slight delay leaves the final Japanese launch line-up looking painfully thin and worryingly reminiscent of its predecessor.
Admittedly the delay is only a week however thereâs little doubt that Tomonobu Itagakiâs latest work is the highest profile title for the region, and much like its predecessor carries a lot of pressure for Microsoftâs next-gen plans.
Just six titles will kick off Microsoftâs next-generation entry within Japan, including Perfect Dark Zero, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, FIFA 06: Road to the World Cup, Every Party, Ridge Racer 6 and Tetris: The Grandmaster Ace.
Itâs unknown whether the delay will have any consequences on the European release which is currently slated for February 2006; however weâll have further information on the title soon.
