DICE Confirms Battlefield 2 For PSP News

EAUK set to develop the title externally for the Swedish firm...
Swedish developers Digital Illusions has today announced that its forthcoming sequel Battlefield 2: Modern Combat will also be released on Sonyâs PSP console in the first quarter of 2006, at the same time that the title launches on Microsoftâs Xbox360.
Exact details of the version are sketchy, but the prospect of playing a game like Battlefield 2: Modern Combat via the PSPâs Wi-Fi capabilities is a very exciting prospect indeed.
DICE havenât released any details about the game other than confirming itâs existence and also that the PSP version is to be developed externally in Electronic Artsâ UK studios. In the statement, Patrick Söderlund, CEO at Digital Illusions said that, ââ¦the Company doesnât have enough resources personnel-wise to produce the PSP version at the moment. We also get a larger product portfolio without spending money on extra development costs.â
