VU release more details about hip-hop artist 50 Cent’s forthcoming videogame debut...
Vivendi-Universal has today released more details about 50 Cent: Bulletproof, which stars the artist born as Curtis Jackson. The somewhat fantastical and over-the-top storyline is as follows: 50 Cent is caught up in a world of double-crosses as he follows a bloody path across New York City, taking on the Big Appleâs crime families before uncovering what has been described as ââ¦an international conspiracy with devastating implications.â
The script and storyline has been penned by Emmy Award-Winner and Sopranos Executive Producer, Terry Winter, who has also drafted the screenplay for 50 Centâs forthcoming motion-picture debut in âGet Rich or Die Tryinâ.
Describing the game, the man himself commented that, âIn everything I do, I play to winâ¦Iâm out to destroy the competition and my video game is no different. Itâs a fantasy version of my life. I plan to shake up the video game world like I did the rap world â“ Iâm pulling no punches with my game.â
â50 Cent is one of the most talented artists in the recording industry with legions of fans around the world. Everything he touches turns to gold â“ music, movies, clothes, cars, watches,â said Bruce Hack, CEO of Vivendi Universal Games. âWe are thrilled to collaborate with 50 Cent and Interscope Records in a video game debut that will deliver extraordinary music, exciting game play, and best of all, 50 Cent.â
The game will be formally unveiled at this yearâs E3 expo in May before an expected release date in Late 2005, weâll have more bulletproof news on 50 Cent videogame debut shortly.
