Inspired by the first Tomb Raider videogame Tomb Raider: Anniversary is a totally new 2006 adventure for Lara, faithfully preserving the elements which made the original Tomb Raider such a classic, selling over 7 million copies worldwide. Using an enhanced 'Tomb Raider: Legend' game engine, the graphics, technology, physics and engine bring Lara's adventure and pursuit of a mystical artefact known only as the Scion right up to today's technology standards.

Crystal Dynamics Working On Tomb Raider 10th Anniversary Title News

Lara to return to her roots later in 2006 with this re-worked version of the title that started it all...

Eidos has today confirmed that a 10th Anniversary Edition of Tomb Raider is being produced by Tomb Raider: Legend developer Crystal Dynamics, with releases on PlayStation2, PSP, and PC.

Launched back in 1996, the franchise has sold over 30 million units over the past decade, despite the universally criticised Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, the last instalment to be created by original developer Core Design. Yesterday Eidos confirmed that it had sold the studio to UK developer Rebellion for an undisclosed fee.

"Our '10th Anniversary Edition' of Tomb Raider, is a one-off title to celebrate both Lara and Tomb Raider, it will appeal not only to the loyal fans of the Tomb Raider series but will also attract a totally new audience." Said Larry Sparks, Head of Brands Management at Eidos.

Following the successful re-launch of the series earlier in the year with Tomb Raider: Legend, it seems that we're going to be getting another dose of the adventurer sooner than we expected.

omg..i have not yer saved up to get this game..is it available on ps2..i have not yet seen it..but i am DEFINATELY going to buy it...i finished tomb raider legend in 3 days..i absolutely love lara croft...i am 14..and i have been playing her games on... [ Read full comment... ]

stuck in peru part 4- the tomb of qualopec on task 2 -release the first throne room gate. have tried to shoot the ceiling weight with pistols, but it wont move. any ideas please.

i like the game and i think that they can do much better and maybe that game can be much better than this one but for now it's a really great game i played it and it look really good and everything i give it a good 9 out of 10 it's that good

Great game but the timed shoot targets -> platform jumps in the great pyramid over the lava were stupidly difficult and annoying. It marred an otherwise great game. Tomb Raider is a puzzle game at it's heart and doing the same sequence over 50+ ... [ Read full comment... ]

Got your money's worth then, I wouldn't be too happy spending £30 for a days worth of content.
