Ring of Fates heading into Europe next Spring; four-player co-op unveiled via Wi-Fi...

Square Enix has today confirmed a Spring 2008 release for Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates for Nintendo DS.

Available in Japan since August, Ring of Fates is the first time that the Crystal Chronicles series has made an appearance on the handheld, and is set in a land darkened with the rise of a blood red moon. The game will continue the spin-off's tradition of multiplayer gameplay, with up to four-player co-op over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, together with the ability to trade items.

John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd. comments, "With a strong focus on action and exploration FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: Ring of Fates offers an exciting, fast-paced adventure. If you've never played a FINAL FANTASY game before, Ring of Fates is the perfect introduction and offers even more fun when played with friends."
