Ubi announces that key missions from Rainbow Six will be updated and revamped for current-generation consoles...

Ubisoft has today confirmed Rainbow Six Critical Hour for Xbox and PlayStation 2 for a Spring 2006 release. The game, which will see the changing of the guard from retiring Rainbow Six commander John Clark to the player controlled Ding Chavez, brings back seven key missions from earlier episodes of the franchise (the original Rainbow Six and Rogue Spear), though each receive a facelift for the current-generation.

Sixteen multiplayer maps will also feature in the game with modes including Persistent Elite Creation, Assassin, and Free-for-All, and the game will also see a return to the slower paced tactical gameplay of the original instalments.
