Microsoft announce a new Crimson Skies title for the Xbox. Chocks Away...

Microsoft today announced the development of yet another exclusive Xbox title, âCrimson Skies: High Road to Revengeâ the latest title in Microsoftâs flight series.

Players take on the role of Nathan Zachary, an air-pirate out for revenge after his best friend was murdered. The game is set to be more cinematic then most flight games, combining the thrills of low-to-the-ground air combat with the swashbuckling style of an action-adventure movie

The game will be more arcade then simulation, allowing players to âfocus on the art of dogfighting rather then the science of flyingâ. The 10 different planes will be armed to the teeth with such weapons as napalm missiles, magnetic grapples and sandstorm cannons. If you run out of ammo, fear not as careful use of the environment can be as effective as any napalm; trigger landslides, collapse water towers and bridges, or fly through "danger zones" to destroy or avoid fast-approaching enemies.

The game will feature a 4P split-screen multiplayer mode, allowing you to go free-for-all or join up in a squadron.

Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge is due for release in Q4 02.
