Microsoft and Konami confirm that the classic shooter will be available on Marketplace from Wednesday...
Xbox Live Arcade is increasingly becoming a refuge for retro classics, and from Wednesday, another will join the likes of Pac-Man and Gauntlet: Contra from Konami.
Available to purchase for 400 Microsoft Points, Contra for Xbox Live Arcade is updated with enhanced graphics and sound, though gamers can choose to play the original version, along with 8-player Multiplayer including co-operation.
The side-scrolling shooter, where players control of Special Ops Bill Rizer or Lance Bean as they battle against the Red Falcon, was first released in 1987 in arcades, NES, and a number of 8-bit computers such as C64 and Spectrum.
