We uncover the full details behind the latest title in the Commandos series + new screens...

Eidos today sent us along a selection of new screens and information on the eagerly awaited next instalment in the highly successful Commandos series.

Commandos 3: Destination Berlin is currently in development at Pyro Studios and will be released on the PC in Summer 2003; Pyro are promising a completely new interior engine, which will allow you to zoom and rotate fully when inside buildings.

Pyro also assured us that theyâve tweaked the game balance; resulting in more detailed, smaller maps which place more importance on action then previous titles in the series. We can also expect to see the introduction of new ideas such as ambushes, assaults and even end-of-level bosses, however fans need not worry â“ the classic Commandos gameplay that we love will be faithfully carried across.

Having three main campaigns based in Stalingrad, Eastern Europe and Normandy; players will take on a variety of different campaigns that each offer numerous tactical situations, and can be played in any order. For the first time ever in the series, there will be a deathmatch multiplayer mode for up to eight players across a LAN or online.
