Codemasters have recently sent us the first video footage of Colin McRae 4 in action; rallying fans won't want to miss out...
Confirmed prior to E3, Codemasters have sent us the first video footage of Colin McRae 4 in action.
Currently in development for the Playstation2 and PC, it appears that Codemasters have gone back to the roots and removed the âColin McRaeâ career mode which featured predominantly in Colin McRae 3. Instead players can expect a wide range of modes, including 4-Wheel Drive, 2-Wheel Drive, Group B and Expert Championships.
The final game will contain eight international locations to race in, which contain six rally stages, eight âShakeDownâ events and 4 âSpecialâ stages. Elsewhere, Codies are promising a new âParts Testing Challengeâ whereby players earn new car technology by completing part tests between rallies.
Other enhancements include a faster visual engine, for improved textures, new animated environments, and incredibly detailed terrain; whilst Codemasters assure us the game will have a decent replay system in place.
Rallying fans who were disappointed by the lack of car tune-up options in Colin McRae 3 will be happy to know that Colin McRae 4 will feature full set-up and repair options, along with a new âDamage Camâ to see the impact on your car after the race.
