Codemasters Show Indy Racing League News

Touring Cars, Rallying, now it's time for an American sport for Codemasters.
Having built up a reputation through the TOCA and Colin McRae series, codemasters have quickly made themselves kings of the racing genre. The UK publisher today revealed the first screens and information from their latest title, Indy Racing League; due for release on the Xbox, Playstation2 and PC later in the year.
Indy Racing League hopes to recreate the high paced action of the real-life sport, whilst Codemastersâ trademark attention to detail should elevate this title to âone to look out forâ; for example the dynamic track allows the temperature to play a part along with the rubber thatâs burnt off during races.
Codemasters have secured the exclusive rights to the Indy League, granting them access to the official cars, tracks, teams and drivers - 14 tracks, 27 cars and 15 action-packed races all in US TV-style presentation.
Indy Racing League is scheduled for release on the Xbox, Playstation2 and PC in Spring 2003, weâll have more information soon.
