Codemasters Announce Brian Lara International Cricket 2007 News

Brian Lara making an appearance on the Playstation2, Xbox 360 and PC just in time for the Cricket World Cup...
Codemasters today confirmed the return of Brian Lara with the development of Brian Lara International Cricket 2007 for the Playstation2, Xbox 360 and PC.
Scheduled to coincide and featuring the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 in March 2007, the game follows the 2005 revival of the series, which was the first cricket title to climb to the summit of the Chart-Track All-Format Top 20.
Promising to expand the series' trademark fluid gameplay, Brian Lara International Cricket 2007 will be developed internally this time around, as a result of Vivendi Games acquisition of the original developer, Swordfish Studios. As a result, Codemasters promises extra depth to batting, bowling and fielding mechanics, with the introduction of subtle edges, sweepshots and the ability to use your feet to dance down the wicket and smash the ball for six!
Being an official licensee of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007, Codemasters will also have access to numerous cricket professionals, including Andrew Flintoff, Ricky Pointing, Mahendra Dhoni, Muttiah Muralitharan along with Brian Lara.
Beyond the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 mode, the game will also offer a fully licensed ICC Champions' Trophy competition and exhibition matches including One Day events, Test Matches and 20-Overs. The game will also support online play on the PC along with Xbox Live support on the Xbox 360.
